If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Manchester United seems to have taken this expression to heart, as the Red Devils are refusing to admit defeat in their bid to capture Cesc Fàbregas, despite the midfielder stating he wants to stay at Barcelona.
According to The Telegraph, the latest offer to be submitted by David Moyes' side is worth €48 million, more than the 'Azulgranas' shelled out to pluck Fàbregas from Arsenal two years ago.
Manchester United is looking to shore up its creative midfield department in order to boost its chances ahead of the new Premier League season and believes that Cesc would represent a major upgrade for a team that is aiming to compete on all fronts this term.
Barcelona has already rejected two offers from United for Fàbregas, the first worth €35 million and the second €40 million.
