Manchester United hopes to land the signing of a top-level player for this season. With Cesc a no-go, one of the options being considered by the English club to reinforce its front line is Mesut Özil, according to reports by the British newspaper the 'Daily Mirror'.
The Red Devils believe that if Gareth Bale's move to Real Madrid comes to fruition, it will open the doors for players such as Mesut Özil and Ángel Di María to leave the club.
"We're involved in several players we're looking at and that will continue. Will we get them before the deadline? I hope so. But we're working very hard to do so," acknowledged United's manager, David Moyes.
